St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church had a great time presenting the 2014 Community BBQ Saturday, Sept 27th noon to 6 p.m. Special thanks to Bi-Rite Market for their support of this fundraiser. We’re already working on plans for our next community BBQ. At left, the colorful thank you sign Deacon Hannah made for us. Below, the Satruday morning cooking crew and our grill master cooked up a storm.
What did we cook?
- BBQ Meats: ribs, chicken and hot links
- Sides: Potato Salad, green salad, Mac & cheese salad, corn on the cob
You may not know this, but St. Cyprian’s members paid off our mortgage in the 1970s in part with the proceeds raised from BBQ and Rummage Sales. We’re reviving our traditional BBQ to raise funds for our support of community activities like use of our kitchen for community meals. St. Cyprian’s BBQ worked back then & we know they will work again.
Thanks to all who supported our work in this neighborhood and the continuing revival of these traditions of St. Cyprian’s Church. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 415-987-3029.
